Politecnico di Torino was founded 160 years ago and represents a leading public university, in Italy and in Europe, in technical-scientific teaching and research (#41 for Engineering and Technology, according to 2020 QS World University Ranking). More than 35000 students (15% of which from foreign countries) are currently enrolled in 23 BSc and 30 MSc programmes, with about 700 PhD students (20% of which from foreign countries) attending 16 different PhD programmes. 23 educational paths taught completely in English and more than 400 International Agreements testify to Politecnico di Torino’s international vocation.
Participation in EU Projects and International Activities
In 2019 Politecnico’s researchers have published 1650 articles on scientific journals, and about 1000 articles on Proceedings. Politecnico is strictly connected with the industrial system, and has a long experience as partner in common research projects with other European and international centres. Since 2014 Politecnico has been participating to more than 250 European and International Projects, with a budget of 82 Million Euros, and to 199 Horizon 2020 Projects, (for 47 of which as Coordinator), with a budget of 76 Million Euros.
